Fallen Heir (The Royals Book 4) by Erin Watt: This one was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe it is supposed to be this way. I really can’t tell. Book 4 of the Royals series is all about Easton the middle child. And he is a total mess and has nothing sexy or special going on. At least to me he sounds more like a pretentious douche who is ‘royally’ full of himself. Hartley, his love interest doesn’t really know what she wants. One day it’s this, the next it’s something else. Let’s hope book 5 clears things up.

Cracked Kingdom (Royals, Band 5) by Erin Watt: I am glad that I am done with the Royals. While book 5 is better than book 4 the first one (Paper Princess) was by far the best. I like though that it concludes the story of all family members at least the ones we got to know better in the books. I for one don’t need another update from them. Sometimes it is good when things come to an end.

Childhood by Jona Oberski: This small booklet describes the horror of the camps through the eyes of a child. And maybe that’s why it is tolerable. A child can’t tell you that the Gestapo came but can say people in long back coats arrived. In the end though the whole situation is all the more stupefying. How could this be done to all the children. Where was the humanity? The more I read up on this subject the more I hate the development that is happening right in front of our eyes. What is happening to us? Excellent book!

Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton: I love a good love story! And this book even has two. Set in Cuba shortly before the revolution there is also a history lesson in it. As well as how Cubans today are faring (I must have been blind while I was there).  But the writing is tedious and repetitive which doesn’t enhance the experience. It definitely made me want to read up on the subject but not read more by this author.
