The doors of Bergen are mostly made of wood and don’t have like the doors of Oslo an open grill (maybe because it rains so much?). What some of them have though is a grill in front of the door. This is something I haven’t seen so like this in Europe. It reminds me more of Rio de Janeiro where these grills signalled “Keep out”. Not really sure if Bergen’s inhabitants want to do the same. On the other hand this place is bombarded by tourists in summer and maybe the locals just want to be left alone. What do I know? In case you have any information on it, just let me know.
