After a week on Milos and taking pictures of the doors there, I must say that there was a clear difference to the doors in Athens. The first thing you notice is the absence of color. Most of the doors of Athens look dark and forbidden. There is nothing inviting here especially when you look at the first picture below. This reminded me so much of Brazil. The doors in Rio were locked in a similar way.
So as any city in the world the doors here signal keep out, which is totally different to the island villages where you can often see an open door with just a curtain blowing in the breeze. Of course this doesn’t happen in a city. In any case here are the doors of Athens. Yours, Pollybert
