The flowers of Sifnos

I love going to Greece, especially at the beginning of summer when everything is in full bloom. The flowers of Sifnos shine in vibrant colors when they pop up in the villages and all over the island. The bougainvillea was as lush here on Sifnos as on any other Greek isle, but against a white backdrop they are unbelievably gorgeous. Even though the island looked already a bit dry in June, nature had enough strength to showcase itself from its best side. Please enjoy these flowers I found on Sifnos. Yours, Pollybert

  1. The first flower in your photos, the one you labelled “white flower with purple stamens,” is actually the caper flower. Beautiful, isn’t it?
If you liked the flowers of Sifnos in July, you should go in April. Oh, my! The wildflowers then are stunning. The soft yellow daisies everywhere, what must be literally billions of them, is just the beginning.
