The pictures of these doors are mostly from Quito but I included also a couple of others from the Galapagos Islands. What I find interesting is that in areas outside the historical centres they are metallic. They look as if they mean business, as in keep out! The wooden doors show a lot of intricate details but also have large locks attached. These doors all want to keep its residents safe.
I have also included a small door which I found in a chapel. The size alone is astonishing and I wonder what has been hidden behind (okay, there is probably a grave behind, but I can still wonder though). There is also one church door below which I am sure you can easily spot. It just wants to impress with its allmighty presence. Yours, Pollybert
