The doors of Normandy come in all kinds of colors and are mostly sturdy wooden doors. There were some glass panels or iron grille work, but mostly they focus on the job: to keep out the heat or cold. I liked the many colors best, which give the houses a bright personality. When the window frames are included in the color scheme the whole building just smiles at you. What’s noticeable as well is the narrow size of many doors. I am not really sure where this comes from, but maybe it was a tax issue in former years? Yours, Pollybert
