Sissinghurst Castle garden has, as the name already implies, an exceptional garden. The castle itself was rather disappointing and apparently I didn’t even take one picture from the inside. But the two towers of the castle always made for a great backdrop in the garden. Actually the towers were the only castle like feature of Cissinghurst Castle.

But let’s get to the many different flowers, which grew in abundance all around the castle.

The garden seemed to be color-coordinated, so each section had one main color with some added shades.

beautiful succulents @Sissinghurst Castle garden
The gardens were really beautiful and we spent a long time walking around and snapping pictures. It reminded me a bit of France, where the castles as well were disappointing but the gardens a marvel. Yours, Pollybert
